Decagon is seeking a Technical Program Manager to own the delivery of complex customer deployments and drive internal cross-functional programs that enable enterprise readiness. You will collaborate with various teams including APM, Engineering, Product, Research, Security, Legal, and Go-to-Market to translate requirements into executable programs, manage dependencies, and proactively address issues. A key aspect of this role involves continuously improving operational and internal functional excellence to ensure seamless scaling as Decagon grows.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end operational excellence and program management for complex customer implementations, including design partnerships and strategic accounts.
- Align on scope, sequence dependencies, manage risks, and ensure smooth handoffs and milestone achievements.
- Translate customer requirements and feedback into structured program plans, prioritizing high-impact asks and tracking execution against timelines.
- Drive internal cross-functional programs such as lifecycle management, security and compliance buildouts, and external certifications from initiation to completion.
- Align stakeholders and hold workstreams accountable for progress without direct authority over executing teams.
Requirements
- 4-6+ years of experience as a technical program manager or in product/engineering operations.
- Direct ownership of complex enterprise deployments or large-scale internal cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven track record running high-stakes customer implementations or feature builds with ambiguous scope and evolving requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to drive programs through influence and collaboration, uniting teams around shared milestones.
- Structured and rigorous approach to managing ambiguity, defining scope, sequencing dependencies, and surfacing blockers.
- Sufficient technical fluency to engage credibly with engineering teams and translate between technical and business contexts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to various audiences including customers, engineering leads, and executive sponsors.
