Decagon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Agent Product Engineering team. This role involves building and shipping best-in-class AI agents that manage complex customer interactions and drive customer retention. You will have complete ownership and autonomy, working directly with leaders across various industries to solve user needs with reliable and intuitive AI agents. The position is for someone who thrives on diving deep into complex system challenges and building elegant, scalable solutions that impact millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Design and build AI agents that outperform human agents in managing complex customer interactions and driving customer retention.
- Identify cross-customer trends to guide the evolution of Decagon’s agent building platform and research efforts.
- Experiment with and evaluate the latest text and voice models, integrating them at scale with large enterprise-grade customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency with Python, Typescript, and asynchronous programming.
- High degree of comfort digging into system failures within deep technology stacks using any tool necessary.
- Prior experience working with multi-modal models is a plus.
