Decagon is seeking a Deal Lead to join their team at the intersection of Sales, Finance, and Strategy. As the first dedicated pricing hire, you will work closely with the Business Operations team to build the deal desk function from the ground up. Your primary goal will be to accelerate and scale the enterprise go-to-market motion by structuring and proposing deals, building internal deal processes, and managing commercial negotiations. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how a category-defining AI company structures, prices, and closes deals as it scales, blending strategic thinking with high-caliber execution.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for deal reviews and approvals, ensuring completeness and policy compliance.
- Advise sales teams on pricing, custom terms, and non-standard contract options for complex deals.
- Facilitate communication between sales, finance, security, and legal teams to move deals through the internal review process.
- Set up and manage the deal desk technology stack, including Salesforce, CPQ, and quoting tools.
- Design and continuously improve approval workflows, discount guidelines, and order form templates.
- Train and coach sales teams on pricing policies, deal structuring, and system usage.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Deal Desk and/or Sales/Revenue Operations, preferably in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
- Proven experience in building processes, systems, or functions from scratch.
- End-to-end understanding of deal desk functions, including policy design and systems administration.
- Deep knowledge of quote-to-cash workflows, CPQ tools, and CRM platforms (Salesforce).
- Strong understanding of contract structures, licensing, pricing models, and revenue recognition.
- Experience building approval workflows, discount guidelines, and templates in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
- High initiative and comfort with ambiguity.
