Decagon is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the Founder's Office team. This high-visibility role will be responsible for building foundational data infrastructure from the ground up, enabling the company to make informed strategic decisions. You will work across multiple databases, parse complex engineering and AI logs, and construct reliable datasets to support confident decision-making. This is an opportunity for high ownership, visibility, and impact across the entire business, collaborating directly with leadership to optimize operations and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering to instrument new product surfaces and ensure clean, reliable event and usage data.
- Translate ambiguous business scenarios into measurable data problems spanning Growth, GTM, Pricing, Deals Desk, Strategic Finance, and Product.
- Continuously improve data infrastructure as the company and data volumes scale.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data experience in an early-stage or high-growth environments, particularly on a lean data team.
- Expert in SQL and BI tools (Hex, Looker, or similar).
- Experience building tables and databases from scratch.
- An owner and end-to-end technologist with a 'do what it takes' mentality, capable of flexing into engineering and business aspects.
- Ability to read codebases and translate data outputs into key findings for leadership.
