Decagon is seeking an Agent Development Manager to join their Agent Development Team. This role will be responsible for building and scaling the function that develops world-class AI Agents for customers. The manager will own the strategy and execution for deploying Decagon across complex enterprise environments, ensuring smooth, impactful agent builds that lay the groundwork for long-term customer success. This includes designing and owning the agent development playbook, creating repeatable and scalable frameworks and processes, and continuously improving delivery through AI tools, automation, and operational design to boost efficiency and reduce time to value. The role requires close partnership with customer teams to understand workflows and goals, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, and Engineering to translate needs into successful agent builds, guiding complex rollouts and ensuring measurable impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead AI agent builds from inception to completion, driving execution, adoption, and business outcomes.
- Design agent development strategies tailored to individual customer goals and technical environments.
- Enhance the speed, quality, and consistency of agent builds by identifying bottlenecks and implementing improved systems, tooling, and automation.
- Lead with assertion, utilize data-driven approaches, and contribute to building a high-performing team for AI agent development.
Requirements
- 4+ years in customer-facing technical roles (implementations, solutions consulting) or in consulting, finance, product, or project management.
- Experience leading complex software or AI deployments with measurable results.
- Technical fluency with SaaS platforms, integrations, and APIs.
- Strong operational instincts with experience building scalable processes or playbooks.
- Clear communicator effective with both executives and operators.
- Highly organized and comfortable structuring ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Low ego and team-first mentality.
