About the job
As a Product Engineer on the Grok Connectors team, you will build integrations that enable Grok, Cursor, and Grok Bot to interact with everyday tools like Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, Microsoft Teams, GitHub, and Slack. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of features, from initial sign-in and token management to ensuring reliability across millions of tool calls and designing user interfaces for web, desktop, and mobile platforms. This role involves direct collaboration with enterprise customers and partners to deliver trustworthy connectors for large organizations.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and deploy end-to-end features for tool integrations.
- Manage OAuth sign-in and token handling.
- Ensure reliability across hundreds of millions of tool calls.
- Design and implement user-facing cards and approval flows for web, desktop, and mobile.
- Work directly with enterprise customers and partners to ship connectors.
- Build an automated triage system for user reports and coding agent fixes.
- Redesign OAuth token refresh mechanisms for improved reliability.
- Reduce tool-call errors by generating tool definitions from API specs and fixing argument mapping.
- Ship email draft, reply, and attachment flows with user approval cards.
- Launch new partner connectors, including debugging and rollout.
- Ensure connectors function for enterprise and single-tenant deployments, addressing security and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive for business impact.
- Have deep, practical knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
- Have experience with large provider APIs like Google Workspace and Microsoft Graph, or be eager to become an expert.
- Demonstrate a strong focus on reliability, including concurrency, retries, rate limits, and observability.
- Utilize data from logs and metrics to guide work and measure impact.
- Be proficient in TypeScript and comfortable working across backend services and client UI.
- Enjoy collaborating with customers, partners, QA, and support teams.
- Be able to clearly answer security review questions and fix bugs.
- Experience with the MCP protocol is a plus.
- Experience with Rust is a plus.
- Experience with Kubernetes and multi-cloud deployments is a plus.
- Experience with enterprise security and compliance (ZDR, audit logs, Conditional Access) is a plus.
- Experience building LLM agents for automation is a plus.
