Cresta is seeking an AI Agent Engineer to join their mission of creating state-of-the-art AI Agents that solve practical problems for customers. This role focuses on leveraging the latest technologies in Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agent systems, ensuring solutions are cost-effective, secure, and reliable. You will work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to deploy high-impact AI agents, integrate them with external systems, and provide hands-on technical expertise. This position requires strong engineering skills, adaptability, and customer engagement, making it ideal for self-driven, analytical individuals eager to apply AI in practical applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, deploy, and optimize AI agents using Cresta’s AI platform.
- Build integrations for AI agents with external systems like APIs, databases, and CRMs.
- Optimize AI agent performance, including fine-tuning prompts and configurations, and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather technical requirements and translate business needs into AI Agent solutions.
- Conduct demos and present proof-of-concepts to customers, gather feedback, and refine solutions.
- Define project milestones, create implementation plans, and coordinate execution with internal teams.
- Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on real-world deployment learnings.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define agent goals and shape product capabilities.
- Serve as a technical advisor to customers on AI agent best practices, architecture, security, and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, consulting, AI/ML engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and Golang.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts.
- Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering techniques is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of AI agent frameworks, function calling, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Hands-on experience building AI agent systems is strongly preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, monitoring).
- Experience integrating systems via APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to use data-driven decision-making for solution refinement.
- Ability to thrive in cross-functional environments and collaborate with PMs and engineers.
