About the job
Cloudflare is seeking an engineer to join the Enterprise Integrations Engineering Team. This team designs, builds, and maintains integrations across the SaaS applications used throughout the organization, with an increasing focus on applying AI, from agentic workflows to LLM-assisted development. The mission is to create scalable, reliable, and intelligent systems that ensure data flows securely and efficiently between platforms, using AI as a force multiplier. The team is highly collaborative, values continuous learning, and supports each other through shared ownership and open communication, working closely with both technical and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Take integration work from concept through implementation, including requirements, technical specs, development, testing, and deployment.
- Identify opportunities to use AI/LLM-based approaches (agentic workflows, automated triage, code generation) to improve integration design, delivery speed, or operational support.
- Build and extend internal AI tooling such as agents, skills, MCP servers, and automation scripts to support team workflows.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions, including AI-driven ones.
- Contribute to the team's evaluation, adoption, and governance of AI tooling, considering data handling, model choice, skills, and guardrails.
- Lead larger initiatives and own integration, UI, and MCP projects, including AI-tooling initiatives, end-to-end.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go strongly preferred; Python/TypeScript also considered).
- Demonstrated experience using AI/LLM tools to build real solutions, such as building an AI agent, LLM-powered automation, or shipping code with heavy AI-assisted development.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders to solve business problems through integration or automation solutions.
- Experience building RESTful APIs with proper service security practices.
- Experience with observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, Kibana, or similar).
- Working familiarity with containerized/cloud environments (Kubernetes, or equivalent cloud-native experience).
- Experience with serverless computing platforms (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, Azure Functions, or Cloudflare Workers).
- Experience with GitLab or other CI/CD tooling.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
