As a Senior Customer Engineer, you will be a key technical advisor and architect for enterprise clients, bridging technical strategy with business value. You will guide customers through pre-sales validation, onboarding, deployment, and expansion, operating as a quota-carrying technologist who leverages AI to focus on high-value architectural design and driving measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical deep-dive discovery, capture business requirements, and map complex customer infrastructure to Cloudflare architectures.
- Define, scope, and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Technical Validations.
- Deliver tailored technical presentations, architectural diagrams, and demonstrations.
- Address technical objections, security compliance questions, and architectural requirements during the sales cycle.
- Oversee technical onboarding and implementation, serving as the primary engineering contact for the customer.
- Design migration and onboarding blueprints tailored to customer environments.
- Act as the lead consultant for customer engineering teams, guiding them through configuration best practices.
- Own discovery, demos, onboarding, technical health, risk, and expansion strategy in partnership with Account Executives.
- Monitor customer health scores and telemetry to ensure rapid time-to-value and reduce deployment risk.
Requirements
- Experience in technical validation, customer onboarding, and solution architecture.
- Familiarity with DNS, CDN, Zero Trust, and Network Security concepts.
- Ability to design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Experience in a quota-carrying sales or technical advisory role.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI-augmented workflows.
