Cloudflare is seeking builders who are passionate about improving the Internet and leveraging AI to solve complex problems. As a Customer Engineer, you will be a trusted technical advisor and architect, guiding enterprise clients through their entire journey with Cloudflare. You will bridge the gap between technical strategy and business value, from pre-sales validation to onboarding, deployment, and expansion. This role is quota-carrying and focuses on high-value architectural design and driving measurable business outcomes, utilizing AI-augmented workflows to minimize administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical deep-dive discovery, capture business requirements, and map customer infrastructure to Cloudflare architectures.
- Define, scope, and plan technical evaluations for Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Technical Validations.
- Deliver tailored technical presentations, architectural diagrams, and demonstrations.
- Address complex technical objections, security compliance questions, and architectural requirements.
- Oversee technical onboarding and implementation, acting as the primary engineering contact for customers.
- Design migration and onboarding blueprints and guide customer engineering teams through configuration best practices.
- Own discovery, demos, onboarding, technical health, risk, and expansion strategy in partnership with Account Executives.
- Monitor customer health scores and telemetry to ensure rapid time-to-value and reduce deployment risk.
Requirements
- Experience in technical sales, solutions architecture, or customer engineering.
- Familiarity with DNS, CDN, Zero Trust, Network Security, and Workers.
- Experience with technical onboarding and implementation oversight.
- Ability to design migration and onboarding blueprints.
- Experience in monitoring customer health scores and telemetry.
- AI-native curiosity and ability to create solutions using the latest tools.
