Clay is seeking Software Engineers for its GTM Ops team to solve operational problems with product thinking. You will partner directly with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to understand workflows and build software that fundamentally improves them. This role involves moving quickly from idea to production, shipping internal products that have an immediate impact across the company. Whether building AI agents, workflow automation, developer platforms, or new internal applications, your work will shape how Clay grows. This is an ideal role for engineers who enjoy wearing multiple hats, working closely with users, and building products that create leverage across an organization.
Responsibilities
- Build internal products that accelerate Clay's go-to-market teams.
- Own projects end-to-end, from discovery and prototyping through production and long-term ownership.
- Partner directly with GTM teams to identify high-leverage opportunities.
- Build AI-native workflows using Clay, LLMs, and modern automation frameworks.
- Design integrations across Clay, Salesforce, Snowflake, Slack, internal APIs, and other business systems.
- Create tooling and platforms that enable rapid experimentation across the business.
- Help define what modern GTM Engineering looks like as AI transforms go-to-market.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building production software.
- Fluent in TypeScript or Python and comfortable working across the full stack.
- Experience building internal tools, workflow automation, developer platforms, or customer-facing products.
- Experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs and modern AI tooling.
- Enjoy working directly with end users and rapidly iterating based on feedback.
- Think like a product builder, not just an implementer.
- Take ownership, move quickly, and bias toward shipping.
- Excited by ambiguity and thrive in fast-moving startup environments.
