Anthropic is seeking an Associate to join its Applied AI team through a rotational program designed to cultivate future technical leaders in AI. This role blends in-depth technical work with customer interaction, preparing participants for roles in Sales, Product Engineering, or other Applied AI functions post-program. Over a six-month period, you will engage with various Applied AI segments and functions, gaining exposure to enterprise sales, product development, and technical architecture while developing solutions that influence how customers deploy Claude. As an Associate, your primary focus will be on technical development, including building agents, creating Skills, designing internal assets, and working directly with Claude's SDK and API. You will collaborate with Solutions Architects, Product Engineers, and Forward Deployed Engineers on challenging customer issues and support sales cycles alongside Account Executives.
Responsibilities
- Build production-ready agents, Skills, and solutions using Claude's SDK and API.
- Develop scalable internal and customer-facing technical assets like code examples, architectures, and integration patterns.
- Document and share best practices for LLM prompting, evaluation, agentic workflows, and architecture design.
- Create demo environments and technical proof-of-concepts to showcase Claude's capabilities.
- Conduct technical discovery calls to understand customer requirements and development workflows.
- Assist customers in designing scalable architectures and developing evaluation frameworks for their AI implementations.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and implementation support during customer evaluations.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Product Engineers on complex technical requirements during sales cycles.
- Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers on post-deployment optimization and expansion opportunities.
- Synthesize technical feedback from customer interactions to inform the product roadmap.
- Rotate through different Applied AI segments over the 6-month program to gain exposure to various customer profiles and use cases.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in software engineering, technical consulting, or solutions architecture.
- Strong coding fundamentals with experience in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Demonstrated ability to build functional applications, tools, or technical projects.
- Experience with APIs, SDKs, and integration patterns.
- Understanding of software development workflows, architecture patterns, and developer productivity tools.
- 0-2 years of customer-facing technical experience (e.g., sales engineering, technical support, consulting, teaching).
- Comfort presenting technical concepts and adapting communication style for different audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug issues and troubleshoot technical challenges.
- Self-starter mentality with a bias toward action.
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI technology and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Growth mindset with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
- Fluency in more than one language.
