Research Engineer, Chip Design RL (Reinforcement Learning)
1mo ago
Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems that are safe and beneficial for users and society. The Reinforcement Learning teams are critical in advancing AI systems, contributing to models like Claude and enhancing autonomy and coding capabilities. Their work spans enabling models to use computers, advancing code generation, pioneering fundamental RL research for LLMs, building scalable RL infrastructure, and enhancing model reasoning. They collaborate with alignment and red teams for safety and with production teams to deploy innovations.
This role is on the Code RL team, focused on advancing models' ability to design silicon. You will leverage chip design expertise to create tasks and signals for models. This involves inventing and implementing RL environments and evaluations for RTL generation, design verification, and physical design optimization, as well as working on cross-cutting RL considerations like EDA-tool latency and proxy rewards. You will conduct experiments, shape the roadmap, and deliver work into research and production training runs, collaborating with researchers and engineers across the company.
