The Customer Engineer (CE) is a key driver of our technical go-to-market strategy, acting as a trusted advisor who manages the technical relationship from initial discovery through long-term adoption and account expansion. You will operate as a quota-carrying technologist, using AI-augmented workflows to automate administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on high-value architectural design and driving measurable business outcomes throughout the customer journey.

Cloudflare's IT Asset Management (ITAM) team is rearchitecting internal IT operations, moving away from third-party tools and onto Cloudflare's own platform, including Workers, Durable Objects, D1, and AI Gateway. The goal is to replace purchased solutions with internally built ones, demonstrating Cloudflare's self-sufficiency and establishing a new standard for internal IT platforms. As a Senior IT Systems Engineer on the IT Platform & Automation pillar, you will be instrumental in designing and building these Cloudflare-native systems. This includes developing MCP servers to connect IT workflows with Cloudflare OS and undertaking full application refactors for asset management, software inventory, and operational automation. This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy individual contributor role where you will define your technical approach and set the engineering standard for the pillar, operating with significant independence.
