X Ads is a high-leverage product area at X, focused on rebuilding its platform with modern infrastructure and AI at its core. This is an opportunity to join a small, fast-moving team where engineers can take on significant ownership, learn from experienced colleagues, and ship impactful products. The role involves working across product, backend systems, infrastructure, and AI-powered features that directly influence a substantial portion of X's revenue. We are seeking high-slope software engineers eager to transform the X Ads Platform using SpaceXAI's infrastructure and AI stack, particularly those early in their careers who learn quickly, ship fast, and are excited to understand and improve large-scale advertising systems with AI.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship product features across the X Ads Platform.
- Work on systems related to ad delivery, targeting, optimization, measurement, and advertiser experience.
- Utilize SpaceXAI's infrastructure and AI capabilities to enhance advertising product performance and quality.
- Contribute to reliable, fast, and scalable distributed systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, product leads, and cross-functional partners to develop products.
- Learn quickly, take ownership, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Debug, maintain, and improve production systems serving real users and driving business impact.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and quickly learn new codebases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity.
- Experience building software through internships, projects, research, open-source work, startups, or full-time roles.
- Interest in backend systems, distributed systems, data pipelines, product engineering, or AI applications.
- A bias toward action and a desire to ship and learn from users.
- Strong ownership mindset and willingness to take responsibility.
- Excitement about building high-quality product experiences for advertisers and users.
