SpaceXAI is seeking a proactive Business Operations Analyst to join its Human Data team. This role is crucial for optimizing the efficiency of model training and evaluation by focusing on metrics, systems, and operational insights. You will analyze workforce performance, capacity, allocation, and process health to provide data-driven recommendations that enhance throughput, quality, cost, and reliability. The ideal candidate will partner with operations leaders and engineering stakeholders to identify challenges, build operating systems, and improve planning decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze operational metrics (capacity, utilization, quality, throughput, cost, etc.) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain reports, trackers, and dashboards for key operating KPIs.
- Create and refine planning and forecasting models for demand, supply, staffing, and process volumes.
- Synthesize operational and performance data to support allocation and operating tradeoff decisions.
- Design, document, and improve operational processes and escalation paths.
- Identify data gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance data collection and definitions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, recruiting, finance) to integrate insights into planning decisions.
- Deliver concise presentations of analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Conduct ad-hoc research and special projects to improve operational leverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1+ years of professional experience in business analytics, business operations, consulting, workforce/operations analysis, or growth/ops strategy.
- 1+ years of experience building and owning analytical models, trackers, or operating systems in Excel/Google Sheets or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization (preferred).
- Experience with forecasting, capacity planning, workforce analytics, or performance metrics (preferred).
- Proficiency in statistical or analytical techniques (e.g., cohort analysis, regression, time-series, anomaly detection) in Python, R, or similar (preferred).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) or modern BI workflows (preferred).
- Background in high-growth tech, marketplace/staffing operations, data labeling, human-in-the-loop systems, or consulting environments (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of presenting insights to non-technical audiences and influencing cross-functional teams (preferred).
- Project management experience, including prioritizing work and driving process change (preferred).
- Comfort using modern AI tools to accelerate analysis and operational workflow design (preferred).
- Weekend work may be required.
- Travel to other SpaceXAI sites may be required.
