About the job

SpaceXAI is seeking skilled Electricians to join its internal construction and electrical teams, supporting the rapid build-out of data centers. This is a traveling role where you will install and commission mission-critical electrical systems on active construction sites, working with high-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution, backup power, grounding, lighting, and process power in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. This hands-on position is ideal for experienced electricians who thrive in industrial or data-center settings, enjoy project-based travel, and want to contribute directly to groundbreaking AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and test electrical systems including underground duct banks, conduits, cable pulling, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, busways, and grounding.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems across multiple active sites.
  • Support commissioning activities such as point-to-point checks, functional testing, megger testing, and system energization.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and SpaceXAI safety & quality standards, including LOTO and arc flash protocols.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and operations teams to deliver projects on time with zero incidents.
  • Participate in constructibility reviews and provide field feedback to improve designs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, as-builts, and test records.
  • Mobilize quickly between project locations as construction phases and priorities shift.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial, commercial, or mission-critical electrical work (data centers, power plants, or large facilities preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V (medium/high voltage experience a plus).
  • Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, meggers, power quality analyzers, etc.).
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
  • Current OSHA 10/30 training and strong safety mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (often 80–100%) and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments with PPE.
