Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate commercial contracts, including SaaS licensing, strategic partnership, and data processing agreements.
- Develop and manage contract templates and negotiation playbooks to improve sales contracting efficiency.
- Create processes to support business growth and scale, and identify areas for improvement.
- Train go-to-market teammates with practical legal advice and guidance.
Requirements
- Law degree from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in the U.S.
- 7+ years of experience negotiating commercial contracts, preferably in SaaS or for tech industry clients.
- Experience contracting with large enterprise companies and strategic partners, especially in regulated industries.
- Exposure to privacy, IP, and basic AI legal issues.
- Experience using contract management tools and familiarity with legal operations and project management tools like Asana, Salesforce, or Linksquares.
- Strong work ethic, ability to think on your feet, and a sense of humor.
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts in a non-legal way.
- Efficiency, ability to prioritize, and multi-task under tight deadlines.
- Self-starter mentality and ability to add value proactively.
- Collaborative approach and a low ego.
