WRITER is seeking a Corporate IT Engineer to be the backbone of their internal technology ecosystem. This role involves designing, building, and scaling systems that empower the rapidly growing team, focusing on architecting seamless, secure, and automated experiences across the SaaS and hardware landscape. The engineer will have the opportunity to shape how a leading AI company operates internally, ensuring infrastructure scales with company ambitions. This is a hybrid role based in the London office.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and administration of core enterprise SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Okta).
- Build automations and API integrations using Python and Terraform for zero-touch onboarding/offboarding.
- Drive identity and access management strategy, implementing SSO, SCIM provisioning, and RBAC.
- Build AI-assisted workflows and tooling to accelerate IT operations and troubleshooting.
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for identity, MDM, and authentication challenges.
- Lead IT infrastructure projects from scoping to production, focusing on reliability and user experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of IT engineering or systems administration experience in a high-growth tech environment.
- Deep technical expertise managing identity providers (Okta) and enterprise SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft 365).
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI/LLM tools for IT operations and scripting.
- Ability to evaluate emerging platforms and make build-vs-buy recommendations.
- Exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical concepts.
