As a Corporate IT Engineer at WRITER, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling the internal technology systems that empower our rapidly growing team. This role goes beyond traditional IT support, focusing on architecting seamless, secure, and automated experiences across our SaaS and hardware landscape. You will have the unique opportunity to influence how a leading AI company operates internally, ensuring our infrastructure can keep pace with our ambitious growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and administration of core enterprise SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Slack, and Okta.
- Build automations and API integrations using Python and Terraform to streamline IT processes and engineer zero-touch onboarding/offboarding.
- Drive identity and access management strategy, implementing and maintaining SSO, SCIM provisioning, and RBAC.
- Develop AI-assisted workflows and tooling to enhance IT operations, troubleshooting, and scripting.
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex identity, MDM, and authentication issues, collaborating with Security.
- Lead IT infrastructure projects from scoping and architecture through production, prioritizing reliability and user experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on IT engineering or systems administration experience in a high-growth tech environment.
- Deep technical expertise in managing and scaling identity providers (e.g., Okta) and enterprise SaaS platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft 365).
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Hands-on experience using AI and LLM tools to accelerate IT documentation, scripting, troubleshooting, and operations.
- Proven ability to evaluate emerging platforms and make build-vs-buy recommendations.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
