World Labs is a frontier AI research and product company focused on spatial intelligence. We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to build and launch new products powered by advanced spatial models. This role involves taking ideas from early prototypes to reliable products and APIs, often within weeks. You will work at the intersection of product, research, and engineering, often being one of the first engineers on a new product idea. The ideal candidate enjoys ambiguity, works across the full stack, and is eager to deliver new capabilities to users quickly.
Responsibilities
- Explore emerging model capabilities with researchers to identify valuable product workflows.
- Own model behavior in products, including prompting, conditioning, parameter choices, orchestration, and failure diagnosis.
- Build product evaluations to measure user-received results.
- Ship across backend, orchestration, public API/SDK, and user-facing product layers.
- Work directly with users and ensure the quality and reliability of shipped products post-launch.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated full-stack ownership.
- Shipped a production API or application on top of generative models, owning end-to-end output quality.
- Meaningful backend or systems depth, with the ability to work through the user-facing surface.
- Experience building or using evaluations for nondeterministic systems and understanding their limitations.
- Experience working closely with researchers to translate product evidence into precise capability requests.
- Ability to act without fully specified tickets while aligning on product bets and constraints.
