TRM Labs is seeking a Software Engineer, API Integrations to join their AI Engineering team. This role focuses on building third-party integrations and a scalable integration platform for AI-native products. You will design and implement reliable connectors, APIs, services, and infrastructure to enable TRM's AI systems to access external data sources safely and efficiently. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate integration needs into production-grade systems, enhancing the speed, quality, and reliability of TRM's connections to external intelligence sources to support the mission of building a safer financial system.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain third-party API integrations for TRM’s Agentic products and workflows.
- Develop scalable integration infrastructure, shared services, and internal tooling.
- Build reliable APIs, backend services, and data pipelines for high-volume product experiences.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and internal stakeholders to define technical roadmaps.
- Improve the quality, observability, reliability, and maintainability of TRM’s integration platform.
Requirements
- Experience designing and building scalable backend systems, APIs, web services, and production software.
- Strong understanding of third-party API integration patterns (authentication, rate limits, retries, error handling, data normalization, monitoring).
- Experience with storage systems (relational databases, analytical databases, queues, caches, event-driven architectures).
- Ability to work through ambiguity and structure complex problems.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive projects from requirements to launch.
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
- Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Experience with OSINT data sources is a plus.
- Experience with AI Production Systems is a plus.
