This is a unique sourcing role for individuals with a prior engineering background who want to leverage their technical expertise to identify and attract top engineering talent. You will be responsible for proactive outbound sourcing of the top 1% of technical talent in key hubs, evaluating their work, and engaging them through outreach campaigns. The role requires the ability to assess technical skills by reviewing profiles and conducting in-depth technical first calls. You will report to the hiring manager on a small team and have the opportunity to influence the company's technical sourcing and evaluation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain pipelines of top-tier engineering talent for open roles.
- Design and execute proactive outreach campaigns targeting elite engineers.
- Analyze GitHub profiles and other technical indicators to identify strong candidates.
- Conduct technical first calls to assess a candidate's practical experience and quality of work.
- Aggressively screen candidates to ensure only the best talent reaches the hiring team.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiters to define and identify top talent.
- Contribute to the development of Together AI's technical sourcing approach.
Requirements
- Hands-on engineering experience; a CS degree is a plus.
- Ability to assess technical depth and quality from GitHub profiles.
- Sufficient technical fluency to conduct credible technical first calls.
- Persistence, drive, and resilience in outbound sourcing and handling rejection.
- Strong written communication skills to engage busy engineers.
- Must be based in San Francisco.
- Recruiting or sourcing experience is beneficial but not required.
