Taktile is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. This role is central to empowering financial institutions to become AI-native by building advanced agentic products that address high-value problems. You will act as a product owner for the AI agents you create, transforming them into scalable, reusable applications for the financial crime or credit risk sectors. The ideal candidate is passionate about applying AI to real-world financial decisioning, stays current with generative AI advancements, and possesses a strong foundation in Python, SQL, and API integration.
Responsibilities
- Act as product owner for AI applications, designing, developing, and deploying robust Generative AI agents.
- Develop standard templates and reusable components to reduce implementation time and solve core customer challenges.
- Synthesize customer feedback into a clear product vision and iterate on solutions for concrete use cases.
- Collaborate with the core product team to prioritize platform features and provide expert user consultation.
- Partner with Solution and Forward Deployed Engineers to understand customer needs during sales and implementation projects.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in data science, software engineering, consulting, or product management, including customer-facing work or product ownership.
- Strong technical or quantitative background (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Economics).
- Experience in credit underwriting, financial risk assessment, or financial crime detection domains.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with a good understanding of REST APIs.
- Ability to break down complex problems and abstract them into scalable, reusable solutions.
- Strong relationship-building skills with technical and business stakeholders.
- Product-centric mindset to understand and solve customer challenges at scale.
