Taktile is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join their Agent team, which is building a platform for creating, publishing, and executing AI-powered agents to automate complex workflows in financial services. This role will involve building and shipping production features across the entire stack, from the agent runtime and tool orchestration layer in the backend to the conversational copilot experiences users interact with daily. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to product impact, and grow your skills in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship features end-to-end for Taktile's AI agent platform, including backend development in Python (FastAPI) on AWS serverless infrastructure and frontend development in React and TypeScript.
- Develop conversational copilot experiences, encompassing chat UI components, streaming responses, rich in-chat interactions, and human-in-the-loop approvals.
- Enhance agent execution, tool connectivity, and error handling.
- Take ownership of work from scope definition through implementation, testing, release, and iteration based on user feedback.
- Utilize AI tools like Claude to improve speed, quality, and build AI-native capabilities.
- Review pull requests, improve test coverage and CI/CD, and elevate reliability and engineering excellence.
- Participate actively in team rituals including daily syncs, planning sessions, demos, and technical discussions.
- Contribute to a foundational product layer and join cross-team learning groups for personal and career growth.
- Engage in daytime operations duty and eventually join an on-call rotation, developing DevSecOps skills.
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals with a focus on simplicity and precision.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication in a hybrid environment and interaction with AI.
- Prior industry experience building full-stack web applications.
- Proficiency with React and TypeScript, and experience building rich, interactive user interfaces.
- Experience with Python back-end development, building and operating RESTful APIs, and working with databases.
- Experience integrating with AWS or similar cloud providers.
