About the job
Taktile is seeking a Data Engineer (AI Enablement) to join their rapidly growing team, empowering financial institutions to become AI-native. As the first dedicated Data Engineer for AI Enablement, you will be responsible for building internal tools, agents, and integrations to enhance team efficiency. This role involves end-to-end project ownership, collaborating with leads across Engineering, GTM, and Ops to identify and scale high-impact workflows. You will embed across various departments to pinpoint areas where AI can reduce operational friction, drive adoption through workshops and support, and partner with Security and IT to ensure data protection.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for AI to reduce operational friction across Engineering, GTM, Customer Success, Finance, and Ops.
- Build and own internal tools and agents, integrating Taktile's SaaS stack into daily workflows.
- Drive adoption of AI tools through workshops, pairing, and office hours, measuring success by usage and time saved.
- Collaborate with Security and IT to establish guardrails, access controls, and audit trails for customer data protection.
- Monitor the AI landscape and integrate valuable new models and tools into the business.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production Python in cloud-native environments.
- Practical experience building with modern LLM tooling (agents, tool use, prompt engineering, MCP, evals) beyond notebook experiments.
- Hands-on experience integrating SaaS APIs (REST, webhooks, OAuth) and managing complex integrations.
- A pragmatic mindset focused on tangible user adoption over complex architecture.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Benefits
- Top-of-market equity and cash compensation package.
- Self-development budget for conferences, books, or classes.
- Choice of equipment, including a meaningful home office setup.
