Taktile is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to empower financial institutions to become AI-native organizations. This role involves leading complex AI-driven deployments in production, owning technical delivery from scoping Agentic AI use cases to stable production. You will apply technical expertise and problem-solving skills to address real-world challenges, which may include designing solution architectures, developing decision logic, deploying Generative AI agents, and collaborating with key customer stakeholders to ensure rapid time to value. The position requires effective work scoping, delivery sequencing, and proactive blocker removal, balancing scope, speed, and quality for successful project delivery. Additionally, you will partner with the product management team to translate customer needs into product insights and develop reusable resources to scale the forward deployed engineering function. A key aspect of this role is coaching and mentoring junior Forward Deployed Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex AI-driven Taktile deployments in production, owning technical delivery across multiple deployments.
- Apply technical expertise to design solution architectures, develop decision logic, and deploy production-grade Generative AI agents.
- Align with key customer stakeholders to ensure outstanding experience and rapid time to value.
- Scope work, sequence delivery, and proactively remove blockers, making trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality.
- Partner with product management to translate customer needs into actionable product insights.
- Develop reusable resources, best practices, and tools to scale the forward deployed engineering function.
- Coach and mentor junior Forward Deployed Engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience, including customer-facing work.
- Strong technical background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in writing and reviewing production-grade Python and SQL.
- Strong command of REST API design and integrations.
- Ability to break down complex problems and make quick, well-informed decisions under pressure.
- Skill in building strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
- Curiosity and a customer-centric mindset.
- Collaborative, curious, and low-ego approach to working across product, engineering, and GTM teams.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in applying and optimizing statistical and machine learning models to solve business problems.
