Taktile is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer for its NYC headquarters to empower financial institutions to become AI-native organizations. This role involves leading complex AI-driven deployments from scoping to production, applying technical expertise to solve real-world challenges, and designing solution architectures. You will develop production-grade Generative AI agents, align with customer stakeholders, and ensure rapid time to value. The position requires effective work scoping, delivery sequencing, and proactive blocker removal, balancing scope, speed, and quality. You will also partner with product management to translate customer needs into product insights and develop reusable resources to scale the forward deployed engineering function. Additionally, you will coach and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex AI-driven Taktile deployments in production, owning technical delivery from scoping to stable production.
- Design solution architectures, develop decision logic, and deploy production-grade Generative AI agents.
- Align with key customer stakeholders to ensure outstanding experience and rapid time to value.
- Scope work, sequence delivery, and proactively remove blockers, making trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality.
- Partner with product management to translate customer needs into actionable product insights and influence the product roadmap.
- Develop reusable resources, best practices, and tools to scale the forward deployed engineering function.
- Coach and mentor junior Forward Deployed Engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience, including customer-facing work.
- Strong technical background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in writing and reviewing production-grade Python and SQL.
- Strong command of REST API design and integrations.
- Ability to break down complex problems and make quick, well-informed decisions under pressure.
- Skill in building strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
- Curiosity and a customer-centric mindset.
- Collaborative, curious, and low-ego approach, working well across product, engineering, and GTM teams.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in applying and optimizing statistical and machine learning models to solve business problems.
