Synthesia is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to build the AI engine for their Roleplay Sessions product. This product allows users to practice real conversations with AI avatars and receive instant feedback. The AI engine will be responsible for processing user input, scoring performance, generating feedback, and controlling avatar responses. This is an applied ML position focused on product development, requiring a blend of ML knowledge and strong software engineering skills for fast iteration and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Build the AI engine for the Roleplay Sessions product.
- Create models to process learner speech during roleplay.
- Develop models to score learner performance.
- Generate real-time, helpful feedback for learners.
- Design models to determine AI avatar responses.
- Apply machine learning knowledge to solve real product problems.
Requirements
- At least seven (7) years of experience as a software engineer.
- At least 2 years of experience at a senior level.
- Experience in a high-performing engineering team operating at scale.
- Comfort with fast iteration and pragmatism.
- Strong alignment with commercial success.
