Takt is building the intelligence layer for factories, aiming to transform them into smarter, more efficient operations. While factories have digitized extensively, data remains fragmented and underutilized. Takt bridges this gap by orchestrating AI agents with deep operational context across the manufacturing stack, enabling systems to reason, predict, and act. This role is for a Founding Full-Stack Engineer who will be the first engineering hire, working directly with the founders to build the core intelligence engine. You will influence critical early decisions in product, infrastructure, and architecture, gaining deep ownership and long-term impact in a software-defined manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy systems across the entire technology stack.
- Influence early product, infrastructure, and architecture decisions.
- Deploy and maintain full-stack production-grade code at scale.
- Develop AI-native code using new-age tools.
- Own LLM tool orchestration, chain design, agent delegation, prompt engineering, and evaluation methodology.
- Integrate with enterprise systems like ERP, MES, and data historians.
- Engage with IT teams and meet security requirements for enterprise customers.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of prior experience.
- Experience deploying and maintaining full-stack production-grade code at scale.
- Strong cloud infrastructure skills (Azure preferred).
- Deep experience with data pipelines, especially cleaning messy, inconsistent real-world data.
- Strong generalist coding skillset, especially on the back-end.
- Experience shipping production AI/ML or LLM systems end-to-end.
- Working knowledge of relational and SQL databases.
- Familiarity with permissioning models, data governance, or SOC2/GDPR.
- Strong sense of agency and ownership.
- Ability to make fast decisions and revise them.
- Willingness to learn and get things done with incomplete information.
