Speak is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to serve as a strategic analytics partner across product, growth, marketing, finance, and leadership. Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders across functions to frame ambiguous business questions and provide rigorous analysis for key decisions.
- Act as a liaison between Finance and Marketing, connecting budget, spend efficiency, and channel performance to revenue forecasts and planning.
- Own and analyze high-leverage company questions such as unit economics, growth drivers, B2C/B2B dynamics, and strategic investment opportunities, translating them into actionable recommendations.
- Drive board- and business-review-level analysis, synthesizing business-wide information into a clear and trustworthy narrative.
- Define, govern, and drive adoption of core metric definitions to establish a single source of truth across the organization.
- Partner with Finance on planning metrics including LTV, CAC, payback, and NRR, with a focus on segmented LTV for consumer and enterprise businesses.
- Champion self-serve analytics and AI-assisted tools to empower the organization to answer routine questions independently.
Requirements
- 4+ years in analytics, strategy, or business/finance analytics with a proven track record of influencing material business decisions.
- Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with modern analytics tools.
- Familiarity with dbt or semantic layers.
- Hands-on experience applying AI/LLM tools to analytical tasks like data synthesis, hypothesis generation, and productivity enhancement.
- Strong business and financial acumen, comfortable with logic behind LTV, CAC, payback, NRR, and revenue recognition, and their connection to strategy.
- Ability to frame ambiguous questions, form a point of view, and communicate persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
- A bias for action, turning insights into decisions and driving them to impact.
