About the job

Sierra is building a platform to enable companies to create better, more human customer experiences with AI. The Tech, Media & Telecom (TMT) team partners with influential companies to build AI agents for critical moments, such as service disruptions or major product launches. These agents aim to transform customer relationships by personalizing interactions, optimizing plans, anticipating needs, and driving loyalty across telecommunications, media, and technology sectors. The role involves owning the entire Agent Development Life Cycle, from initial scope and design to launch and continuous iteration, ensuring agents measurably improve business outcomes. You will act as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders, understanding their business objectives and shaping AI strategies, while also partnering closely with customer teams to troubleshoot and ensure successful launches. This position directly impacts product development by surfacing customer needs to inform future platform direction.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Agent Development Life Cycle, from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and iteration.
  • Translate business goals into high-performing AI agents and continuously tune them for optimal real-world performance.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders, understanding their business needs and shaping AI strategies.
  • Partner with customer working teams to run sessions, troubleshoot agents, and keep projects on track for launch.
  • Surface unmet customer needs to research and platform teams to influence future product development.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated customer obsession with energy for understanding customer businesses and needs, thriving in complex organizations, and building trusted relationships.
  • Clear, direct, and persuasive communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for strategic problem-solving in ambiguous environments, identifying risks, and adapting to change.
  • Technical aptitude, including comfort with technical concepts, API documentation, data models, system architecture, and engineering tradeoffs.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple complex, high-visibility projects simultaneously and driving them to successful outcomes.
  • Interest in telecommunications, media, and technology, with experience in relevant industries (telecom, streaming, digital media, enterprise/consumer tech, subscription businesses).
