Sierra is building a platform to enable companies to create better, more human customer experiences with AI. As an Agent Strategist, you will own the entire lifecycle of Sierra's AI agents, from initial concept to production deployment handling thousands of daily conversations. This role sits at the intersection of product development, agent building, and customer engagement, requiring you to be as close to the technology as you are to the people you serve. You will transform complex customer challenges into measurable business improvements through AI agents.
Responsibilities
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle, from scope to launch and iteration.
- Translate business goals into high-performing AI agents and continuously tune them.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders, understanding their business needs and shaping AI strategies.
- Partner with customer working teams, running sessions, troubleshooting, and ensuring on-track launches.
- Surface unmet customer needs to inform product and platform development.
Requirements
- Customer obsession with energy for understanding customer businesses and needs.
- Clear, direct, and persuasive communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for strategic problem-solving in ambiguous environments.
- Technical aptitude to engage with concepts like API documentation, data models, and system architecture.
- Proven track record of managing multiple complex, high-visibility projects to successful outcomes.
- Genuine interest in Financial Services and improving customer experience.
- Experience in financial technology, implementations at financial institutions, or familiarity with financial services security and compliance requirements is a strong plus.
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production, including familiarity with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, and prompt engineering.
- Experience as a founder, founding team member, or operator.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, and/or an MBA or comparable experience at the intersection of technology and business.
