Sierra is building a platform to enable companies to create AI-powered customer experiences. The Retail team specifically focuses on partnering with retailers to develop AI agents that assist millions of shoppers daily with tasks like order tracking, product discovery, and issue resolution. These agents go beyond traditional support to generate revenue through personalized recommendations, cart recovery, and in-store support, transforming how brands engage with their customers and making shopping more personal and delightful.
Responsibilities
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and iteration.
- Translate business goals into high-performing AI agents and continuously tune them for optimal real-world performance.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders, understanding their business objectives and shaping AI strategies.
- Partner with customer working teams to run sessions, troubleshoot agents, and ensure projects stay on track for launch.
- Identify and communicate unmet customer needs to research and platform teams to influence future product development.
Requirements
- Customer obsession with energy for engaging with customers, understanding their businesses, and building trusted relationships.
- Clear, direct, and persuasive communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for strategic problem-solving in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
- Technical aptitude, including comfort with API documentation, data models, system architecture, and engineering tradeoffs.
- Proven track record of managing multiple complex, high-visibility projects and driving them to successful outcomes.
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production, including familiarity with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, and prompt engineering.
- Experience as a founder, founding team member, or operator.
- Interest in Financial Services and improving end-customer experience, with a plus for experience in fintech, financial institutions, or familiarity with financial services security and compliance.
