Sierra is seeking an Agent Strategist for its Public Sector team to redefine the relationship between the government and its citizens through AI. In this role, you will own the entire lifecycle of AI agents, from initial concept to production, ensuring they effectively address complex public sector challenges. You will work at the intersection of product development and customer engagement, translating mission goals and policy requirements into reliable AI solutions. This position requires a strategic advisor who can partner with public sector leaders to define success, shape AI strategies, and drive deployments forward. You will also identify new opportunities to expand the impact of AI agents, such as proactive outreach and multilingual support, and directly influence Sierra's product roadmap and public sector strategy by surfacing customer needs and prototyping new approaches.
Responsibilities
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle, from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and continuous iteration.
- Translate mission goals, policy requirements, and operational workflows into reliable AI agents.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to public sector leaders, defining success and shaping AI strategy.
- Partner with working teams, including program, operations, technology, security, legal, and procurement stakeholders, to resolve issues and drive deployments.
- Identify new use cases and develop roadmaps for expanding agent impact, including proactive outreach and multilingual access.
- Influence Sierra's product roadmap and public sector strategy by surfacing unmet customer needs and prototyping new approaches.
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading complex, high-visibility initiatives and driving cross-functional teams to measurable outcomes.
- Comfort engaging directly with technical concepts, including API documentation, data models, system architecture, and engineering/security tradeoffs.
- Passion for public sector work and belief in AI's potential to improve public outcomes.
- Clear, direct, and persuasive communication skills across various stakeholder levels.
