Sierra is seeking an Agent Strategist for its Public Sector team to lead the development and deployment of AI agents for government clients. This role sits at the intersection of product, agent building, and customer engagement, requiring close collaboration with technical teams and public sector leaders. The strategist will transform complex problems into effective AI agents, guiding them from initial concept through to production, ensuring they meet mission goals and operational requirements. The position involves advising executives, partnering with cross-functional teams, and identifying new opportunities to expand the impact of AI in public service.
Responsibilities
- Own the entire Agent Development Life Cycle, from initial scope and conversation design to tooling, evaluation, launch, and ongoing iteration.
- Translate mission goals, policy requirements, and operational workflows into reliable AI agent performance.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to public sector leaders, defining success metrics and shaping AI strategies.
- Collaborate with program, operations, technology, security, legal, and procurement stakeholders to resolve issues and drive deployments.
- Identify new use cases and develop roadmaps for expanding agent impact, including proactive outreach and multilingual support.
- Influence Sierra's product roadmap, market strategy, and repeatable solutions by surfacing unmet customer needs and prototyping new approaches.
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading complex, high-visibility initiatives and driving cross-functional teams to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Comfort engaging with technical concepts, including API documentation, data models, system architecture, and engineering/security tradeoffs.
- Passion for public sector work and belief in AI's potential to improve public outcomes.
- Clear, direct, and persuasive communication skills.
