Sierra is building a platform to enable companies to create better, more human customer experiences with AI. This role focuses on the Financial Services team, partnering with leading banks, neobanks, and insurers to transform customer experiences and build modern AI tools. You will own the entire lifecycle of AI agents for customers, from initial concept to production deployment, ensuring they measurably improve business outcomes. This position sits at the intersection of product development, agent building, and customer engagement, requiring close collaboration with both technology and people.
Responsibilities
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle, from scope and design to launch and iteration.
- Translate business goals into high-performing AI agents.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise customer executives, shaping AI strategies.
- Partner with customer working teams, running sessions and troubleshooting agent issues.
- Identify and communicate unmet customer needs to shape future product development.
- Scope and launch AI agents for various customer use cases, such as customer retention or troubleshooting.
- Redesign conversation flows for complex, regulated interactions.
- Collaborate with product teams on new agent capabilities using live customers as design partners.
- Define and utilize evaluation metrics to drive agent performance improvements.
Requirements
- Customer obsession with energy for understanding customer business and needs.
- Ability to build trusted relationships within complex organizations.
- Clear, direct, and persuasive communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for strategic problem-solving in ambiguous environments.
- Technical aptitude, including comfort with API documentation, data models, and system architecture.
- Proven track record of managing multiple complex, high-visibility projects to successful outcomes.
- Genuine interest in Financial Services and improving end-customer experiences.
- Experience in financial technology, implementations at financial institutions, or familiarity with financial services security and compliance requirements is a strong plus.
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production.
- Hands-on experience with AI agent tools, evaluation frameworks, RAG, and prompt engineering.
