Sierra is building a platform to enable companies to create better, more human customer experiences with AI. As an Agent Strategist, you will own the entire lifecycle of Sierra's AI agents for customers, from initial pilot to production. This role sits at the intersection of product, agent building, and customer engagement, requiring close collaboration with both technology and people. You will transform complex customer problems into agents that deliver measurable business impact, acting as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders and partnering closely with customer teams to ensure successful implementation and iteration.
Responsibilities
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle, from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and continuous iteration.
- Translate business goals into high-performing AI agents and relentlessly tune them for optimal real-world performance.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise customers, understanding their business objectives and shaping their AI strategy.
- Partner with customer working teams to run sessions, troubleshoot agents, and ensure builds stay on track for launch.
- Identify and communicate unmet customer needs to research and platform teams to influence future product development.
- Define and utilize evaluation metrics to drive measurable improvements in agent outcomes.
Requirements
- Customer obsession with genuine energy for engaging with customers, understanding their businesses, and building trusted relationships.
- Clear, direct, and persuasive communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for strategic problem-solving in ambiguous environments.
- Technical aptitude to engage with technical concepts, read API documentation, understand data models and system architecture.
- Proven track record of managing multiple complex, high-visibility projects and driving them to successful outcomes.
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production, with hands-on experience with relevant tools (eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, prompt engineering).
- Experience as a founder, founding team member, or operator, demonstrating an ability to balance craft, ownership, and speed.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, and/or an MBA or comparable experience at the intersection of technology and business.
