Sierra is building a platform to enable companies to create better, more human customer experiences with AI. We are seeking a Software Engineer, Voice to contribute to our innovative AI products. This role involves working on cutting-edge challenges in speech-to-text, speech synthesis, real-time audio processing, and scaling our infrastructure to handle millions of calls daily. You will also be involved in building real-time integrations with telephony systems and call centers.
Responsibilities
- Enable accurate speech-to-text and automatic speech recognition across numerous languages.
- Develop infrastructure for low-latency speech processing.
- Generate precise speech that matches customer brand and style.
- Adapt agentic loops for real-time audio streams, handling interruptions and disconnections.
- Build infrastructure to support millions of calls per day.
- Integrate with telephony systems for reliable inbound and outbound calls.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building production products and systems.
- Experience and comfort building and shipping full-stack solutions.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience building AI-powered products.
- Experience with Go and Typescript.
- Experience building developer tooling, programming languages, or databases.
- Leadership experience on technical projects or teams.
