Sierra is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Tech, Media & Telecom team, focusing on building customer-facing AI agents for leading global brands. This role involves designing and delivering production-grade AI agents that are mission-critical and drive revenue. You will own the entire Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC), from pilot to deployment and iteration, establishing best practices along the way. You will collaborate directly with enterprise clients and startups to understand their business challenges and embed AI agents to transform their operations and drive innovation. Your work will also influence the evolution of Sierra's core platform, requiring collaboration with research, product, and platform teams to shape the future of AI agent development.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver production-grade AI agents that are highly performant, reliable, and intuitive.
- Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC), including building, tuning, and evolving AI agents in production.
- Partner with large enterprises and startups to understand business challenges and build AI agents that operate at scale.
- Collaborate with customers to guide the evolution of Sierra's core platform by surfacing unmet needs and prototyping new tools.
- Shape the future of AI agent development and Sierra's product through collaboration with research, product, and platform teams.
Requirements
- Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
- A builder and tinkerer's mindset with high agency.
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs and solve real-world problems.
- Excellent communication skills—clear, direct, and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excitement in the Tech, Media & Telecom space and a care for helping customers.
