About the job

Sierra is building a platform to enable companies to create better, more human customer experiences with AI. We partner with industry leaders and are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco. Our Tech, Media & Telecom team builds AI agents for critical moments, transforming customer relationships for telecommunications providers, media brands, and technology platforms. These agents help customers navigate service disruptions, product launches, and major events, aiming to personalize experiences, optimize plans, and drive loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver production-grade AI agents that are highly performant, reliable, and intuitive.
  • Own and drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC) from pilot through deployment and continuous iteration.
  • Build, tune, and evolve AI agents in production environments, establishing best practices for ADLC.
  • Partner directly with leaders at large enterprises and startups to understand business challenges and build transformative AI agents.
  • Collaborate with research, product, and platform teams to shape the future of AI agent development and the core platform based on customer needs.

Requirements

  • Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
  • A builder and tinkerer's mindset with high agency.
  • Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs and solve real-world problems.
  • Excellent communication skills—clear, direct, and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excitement in the Tech, Media & Telecom space and a care for helping top brands build customer loyalty.
