Sierra is seeking a Product Manager, Infrastructure to shape the platform powering customer-facing AI agents. This role involves defining scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly abstractions for compute, storage, orchestration, and networking. You will own the performance, reliability, and scale of Sierra's systems, setting standards for latency, availability, and fault tolerance. The position also includes designing developer primitives and tooling, driving system architecture decisions through first-principles thinking, and ensuring infrastructure accelerates product velocity. You will collaborate across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to ensure infrastructure meets evolving product needs and customer use cases.
Responsibilities
- Define the infrastructure platform, including compute, storage, orchestration, and networking layers.
- Own system performance, reliability, and scale for real-time workloads and high concurrency.
- Design developer primitives and tooling, including APIs, SDKs, and workflows.
- Drive system architecture decisions, balancing consistency, cost, performance, and complexity.
- Enable rapid product iteration by ensuring infrastructure supports fast shipping without sacrificing reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with customer use cases and product needs.
Requirements
- Deep technical product experience, ideally in infrastructure, platform, or developer tooling.
- Strong systems intuition for distributed systems, scalability, latency, and reliability.
- Track record of end-to-end product ownership from 0 to scale.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with engineers and stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in fast-moving environments with incomplete information.
- Experience deploying in highly regulated industries (BYOC or on-prem) is a plus.
- Experience with distributed systems, infrastructure, or platform engineering is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern AI/ML infrastructure or real-time systems is a plus.
