Sierra is building a platform to enable companies to create better, more human customer experiences with AI. We are seeking a Product Manager for our Public Sector team, which is focused on redefining the relationship between the government and its citizens. This role involves building enterprise-grade AI agents for government institutions, partnering directly with engineers and public sector customers to ship AI agents that serve people in high-stakes, mission-critical interactions. You will discover where agents can make the greatest impact by working closely with federal and state institutions to understand their missions, operating constraints, constituent needs, and service-delivery workflows, identifying and prioritizing new opportunities for AI agents. You will also engage with customers at every level, becoming a trusted advisor and hands-on partner to public sector leaders and their teams, and owning outcomes from concept through production by translating mission goals into a clear product strategy, roadmap, and definition of success.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship AI agents for government institutions that serve people in high-stakes, mission-critical interactions.
- Discover and prioritize new opportunities for AI agents to improve access, responsiveness, and outcomes in the public sector.
- Engage with public sector customers at all levels to understand requirements, present demonstrations, and navigate challenges.
- Translate mission goals into a clear product strategy, roadmap, and measurable definition of success.
- Shape the evolution of Sierra's core platform and public sector roadmap by surfacing unmet needs and prototyping new tools.
- Partner with public sector leadership on market strategy, product investments, and repeatable approaches to scale the business.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience developing highly technical products.
- Experience in Product Management or a similar product development role at or above the level of Senior Product Manager.
- A passion for public sector work and a belief in the potential of our institutions to transform outcomes.
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs, navigate complex organizations, and solve real-world problems.
- Experience crafting and tailoring messages for different audiences, including senior executives and public sector leaders.
- Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to both non-technical and technically proficient audiences.
