Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting close, ensuring timely completion across global entities.
- Maintain accurate supporting documentation and perform reconciliations.
- Review expense accuracy and completeness, developing robust accrual processes.
- Prepare intercompany journal entries in compliance with agreements.
- Prepare consolidation entries, including revaluation, translation, and eliminations.
- Assist in preparing the monthly reporting package with period-over-period analysis.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including coding vendor bills, corporate credit cards, and employee reimbursements.
- Ensure timely application of global cash within the ERP.
- Coordinate with payroll to review journal entries and ensure timely tax payments.
- Lead audit preparedness, coordinating with external auditors for timely submission of requests.
- Proactively participate in Finance Transformation initiatives, leveraging AI and tooling to scale.
- Enhance or upgrade the tech stack to enable the latest AI technology.
- Challenge existing processes and develop an AI-first approach.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in a mix of public (highly regulated) and private (hyper growth) environments.
- Proficiency in US GAAP, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and stock-based compensation.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and build solutions using AI.
- Desire to drive operational efficiency to scale the accounting function.
- A structured, self-directed, detail-oriented builder and problem solver capable of designing, running, and improving processes.
- A bias for simplifying and automating processes.
- Passion for building an AI-native finance function.
- Previous IPO experience with an enterprise B2B software company (preferred).
- CPA license and/or Big 4 experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with modern office of the CFO tech stack (preferred).
