Anthropic is seeking a Senior Manager for Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections to oversee the end-to-end credit and collections lifecycle for customers in the Americas. This leadership role is crucial as the company's commercial business expands. You will manage a team, define the credit and collections strategy, and drive an automation roadmap to scale cash collection efficiently. The position involves partnering with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and Customer Success to establish responsible credit extension and efficient collection processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building operational rigor, scaling credit and collections functions through automation and AI, and a commitment to balancing customer relationships with business protection.
Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction for Americas credit and collections, including portfolio management, aging reviews, and cash forecasting.
- Own the Americas collections automation roadmap, encompassing segmentation, dunning, self-service payments, and dispute resolution.
- Drive AI adoption in credit and collections, including collector prioritization, AI-generated correspondence, predictive risk scoring, and automated response reconciliation.
- Lead, coach, and develop credit and collections professionals, setting KPIs for DSO, aging, collection effectiveness, and automation.
- Manage credit risk strategy for Americas customers, including policy, credit limits, payment terms, and risk escalation.
- Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal on contract negotiations related to payment terms and credit exposure.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer disputes in coordination with Billing Operations, Cash Application, and Customer Success.
- Develop and refine credit and collections policies and escalation paths for a scaling enterprise SaaS business, prioritizing automation.
- Oversee the Americas rollout and optimization of the AR automation platform, including workflow design and system integrations.
- Partner with Finance Systems and AI teams to deploy agentic and LLM-based solutions for credit and collections.
- Report on receivables health, bad debt reserves, collections performance, and automation metrics to senior finance leadership.
- Harmonize global credit and collections standards with regional peers, considering Americas-specific nuances.
- Represent Americas AR in cross-functional initiatives related to systems, controls, and finance transformation.
Requirements
- Experience leading credit and collections teams in a high-growth or enterprise SaaS environment, including managing other managers.
- Proven experience driving automation in credit and collections workflows with measurable efficiency improvements.
- Strong knowledge of commercial credit risk assessment, credit reporting tools (e.g., D&B, Experian), and financial statement analysis.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and AR systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and AR automation platforms (e.g., Tesorio, HighRadius, Billtrust), including workflow and integration design.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for analysis, reporting, and modeling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diplomatic customer and internal executive interactions.
