Scale is seeking an AI Product Manager to lead the Healthcare vertical within the Agents Data & Reinforcement Learning Environments team. This role involves owning the development of realistic RL environments for training and evaluating AI agents in healthcare software and workflows, as well as defining the "data as a product" strategy that supports them. The ideal candidate will possess deep understanding of the Healthcare industry and its workflows, combined with insight into AI research and current agent capabilities. You will translate this expertise into environments and datasets that enable AI agents to perform real healthcare tasks, serving as the domain expert for Scale's key customers and researchers. A strong entrepreneurial and go-to-market mindset is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Own the Healthcare AI roadmap and data strategy, setting product direction and vision for the Healthcare agents training stack.
- Drive execution across engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams to align with the vision for AI transformation in Healthcare.
- Build partnerships with research teams at frontier labs to understand limitations in Healthcare agentic capabilities and shape new product lines.
- Connect with AI startups and industry leaders to launch joint benchmarks and enhance Scale's brand in Healthcare.
- Design and scale Healthcare-specific environments by scoping and building simulations of real Healthcare workflows for agent training and evaluation.
- Partner with ML and Operations teams to translate industry knowledge into high-quality training products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence business priorities and deliver mission-critical outcomes by engaging with research, operations, and customer interactions.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of direct experience in the Healthcare industry (e.g., healthcare research, clinical staff using EHRs, revenue cycle management, or healthtech product role) with deep understanding of industry workflows.
- AI-Forward Thinking: Ability to quickly adopt AI solutions and articulate its transformative impact on the industry.
- Builder's mindset: Enthusiasm for ambiguity and creating new products from scratch.
- Product or customer-facing experience: Proven track record of owning outcomes, shaping roadmaps, or working closely with technical stakeholders (formal PM experience is a plus if domain depth is strong).
- ML Intuition & Technical Fluency: Sufficient understanding of model training, evaluation, and Reinforcement Learning environments (a software background is a plus).
- Bias for action: Comfort in wearing multiple hats and operating in fast-moving environments.
