Scale is seeking an AI Product Manager to lead the Finance vertical within the Agents Data & Reinforcement Learning Environments team. This role involves owning the development of realistic RL environments for training and evaluating AI agents in financial workflows, as well as defining the "data as a product" strategy that supports them. You will leverage your deep understanding of the Finance industry and AI capabilities to identify valuable financial tasks for AI modeling, determine data sourcing and structuring strategies, and translate domain expertise into a defensible product. The ideal candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial and go-to-market mindset, coupled with the ability to pair finance industry experience with an understanding of AI research and current agent capabilities in financial workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the Finance AI roadmap and data strategy, setting product direction and vision for the Finance agents training stack.
- Drive execution across engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams to realize the vision for AI in the Finance industry.
- Build partnerships with research teams at leading AI labs to understand limitations in Finance agentic capabilities and shape new product lines.
- Connect with AI startups and industry leaders to launch joint benchmarks and enhance Scale's brand in Finance.
- Design and scale Finance-specific environments, building simulations of real Finance workflows for agent training and evaluation.
- Partner with ML and Operations to translate industry judgment, edge cases, and workflows into high-quality training products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence business priorities and deliver mission-critical outcomes by engaging with research, operations, and customer interactions.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of direct experience in the Finance industry (investment banking, private equity, trading, asset or portfolio management, or a fintech product role) with deep understanding of how work is done.
- AI-Forward Thinking: Ability to quickly adopt AI solutions and articulate its transformative impact on the industry.
- A builder's mindset: Enthusiasm for ambiguity and creating new products from scratch.
- Product or customer-facing experience: Proven track record of owning outcomes, shaping roadmaps, or working closely with technical stakeholders (formal PM experience is a plus but not required if domain depth is strong).
- ML Intuition & Technical Fluency: Sufficient understanding of model training, evaluation, and Reinforcement Learning environments (a software background is a plus).
- Bias for action: Comfort in wearing multiple hats and operating in fast-moving environments.
