Sarvam is building India's full-stack sovereign AI platform, focusing on research, models, infrastructure, and applications to make AI work for India. We are seeking product managers who are builders at heart, constantly engaging with customers, shipping products to users, and understanding the intricacies of AI systems in production. This role offers the flexibility to work across various product lines, including consumer AI, enterprise platforms, developer tools, speech and voice systems, or edge deployments, depending on your strengths and interests.
Responsibilities
- Own a product area end-to-end, including user interaction, specification writing, success metric definition, shipping, and outcome measurement.
- Analyze AI system behavior in production, focusing on prompt design, model selection, latency, failure modes, and evaluation pipelines.
- Write code, prompts, and copy to accelerate learning and idea validation.
- Set up funnels, write queries, and instrument events to diagnose product performance.
- Collaborate directly with engineering, design, and leadership teams.
- Ship product iteratively on a weekly basis.
Requirements
- 3-7 years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping products at scale for strong B2C or B2B companies in India.
- Currently working as a product manager.
- Hands-on familiarity with AI, including building agents, understanding context windows, and evaluating trade-offs like cost vs. latency vs. accuracy.
- Experience with evals, tool calling, or agentic workflows is a strong plus.
- Strong data skills, including SQL proficiency, experience with analytics tools (PostHog, Mixpanel), and defining meaningful success metrics.
- Strong product thinking, with a customer-centric approach, ability to structure vague problem spaces, and deliver v1 solutions efficiently.
- Systems thinking ability to understand component interactions, failure modes, and dependencies.
- High ownership and agency, with a proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Clear communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
