About the job
Salesforce is seeking an early-career, highly driven Value Acceleration Engineer to join their Agentforce for Supply Chain team. In this forward-deployed role, you will work directly with enterprise customers and Customer Success teams to implement AI-powered solutions for supply chain management. Your primary goal will be to compress the customer's time-to-value by designing and building agentic workflows and getting critical business processes live in production within an intensive 90-day window. This role is structured as a rotational "Field Residency," where you will spend the initial 6-12 months mastering production edge cases and customer complexities before transitioning into a core product and engineering pod, bringing valuable frontline insights to shape the future platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and build "Day 1" agentic workflows and blueprints with strategic customers.
- Act as the technical builder during 90-day Value Acceleration programs to deploy 1-2 primary use cases into production.
- Troubleshoot bugs, resolve implementation hurdles, and address usability or security concerns to reduce Time-to-First-Value (TTFV).
- Facilitate working sessions between customers and deployment strategists to align business needs with technical solutions.
- Enable and support implementation partners for ongoing build work post-engagement.
- Document design decisions and build patterns from customer engagements to contribute to the use case library and product roadmap.
- Serve as a feedback loop between customers and mainline engineering, translating real-world friction into scalable product features.
- Transition from the forward-deployed rotation into a permanent builder role within core product pods.
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field with a 3.5+ GPA (M.S. is a plus).
- 0-3 years of experience.
- A builder's spirit with a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
- High empathy and exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to external customers.
- Ability to navigate complex enterprise environments.
- Strong desire to learn both technical systems and business processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment requiring quick problem-solving.
- Enthusiasm for a rotational model, including field deployment followed by core product engineering.
