About the job
As a Systems Architect on the MeshMesh team, you will be instrumental in shaping the technical foundation and long-term architecture of our mesh networking platform. This role involves close collaboration with engineering leaders to ensure the system can scale effectively with customer demand. You will define and document the overall system architecture across various services and components, evaluate technical trade-offs, and guide major design decisions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring architectural consistency as the platform evolves and in proactively identifying and designing solutions for scalability, performance, and reliability risks.
Responsibilities
- Define and document the overall system architecture across services and components.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs and guide major design decisions.
- Partner with engineering leads to ensure architectural consistency as the platform grows.
- Identify scalability, performance, and reliability risks early and design solutions to address them.
Requirements
- 10-15 years of experience.
- Significant experience architecting distributed systems at scale.
- Skilled at communicating complex technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience guiding architecture across multiple engineering teams.
- Understand how to design systems and workflows that leverage AI coding tools (agent loops, tool use, context engineering) to accelerate delivery.
